Linda, I enjoyed reading the story of your wonderful mugs. As I wrote in my e-mail - I was so excited to see your mention of Eric Ravilious in your "Style Court" comment that it led me to a search for you and in turn your blog. I am also fascinated with this period of English design. Has the work of Rex Whistler caught your eye? I'm so pleased to have discovered your blog - we share similar interests in design as well as gardens. I look forward to reading future posts. Thank you!

LINDA FROM EACH LITTLE WORLD

I am familiar with Rex Whistler's name but don't know too much about him. The designer David Hicks had some beautiful RW grisaille panels in his dining room.

The Edward Bawden book is quite wonderful on the design of the era that interests you but I sent to the U.K. for it. Maybe it will be released in the U.S. soon.

More on Angie Lewin tomorrow.

And thanks for your kind comments.
