One of my ongoing pleasures has been the opportunity to write about what intrigues and interests me — and I hope, you as well; first as a newspaper columnist and now as a blogger. Writing, like any art, is a journey of the heart. It's not a question of where you wind up but of what you learned on the way.
My journey has been long, eventful and completely accidental, taking me to many little worlds. I've tended bar and worked in retail, been a pastry chef and newspaper carrier, a teacher and illustrator, museum researcher and speaker on the garden circuit.
Most recently, I’ve become part of the post-it generation: the folks who post comments on the blogs they follow. As “Ms. Wis.” I visited my favorites at least once a day. One minute I’m in New York City, the next Kansas City, then Edinburgh, and on and on til I’m back home in Madison.
But just leaving a comment is no longer enough. I want to contribute more — including my own images. Ms. Wis. has had her day and now it’s my turn to share with you “Each Little World” that inspires me. I will still be visiting my favorite sites but with the opportunity to offer my own insights here.
If you’re looking for some good reads, here is a list of my favorite blogs:
