Woke up this morning and could tell from the quality of the light coming through the curtains that it had snowed overnight. Those who garden in snow country know what I mean.
Last winter began with an early storm on December first and it continued unabated 'til April. So the sight of snow on the ground was enough to send me diving back under the covers.
Luckily the photographer was more excited and snapped a little slide show of the garden to mark the day (click on image in left column).
This is nothing the Hellebores haven't seen and survived before.
Beautiful photos, Linda -- a wintry wonderland. I'll include your link on the First Snowfall page. Thanks for joining in!

Thanks Nancy!
Having a first snowfall page is just a brilliant idea. It makes a positive out of something that can so often be seen as negative. I loved visiting all the links.
