What a treat to follow your sweet comment here in the first hour of the brand new year. I have enjoyed reading through some of your posts, and loved the garden photos, the book reviews and the wonderful mention of one of my most favourite movies, I Know Where I'm Going! Pure magic, that film!!

A most Happy New Year to You!!

Pamela — thank you for stopping by and for those kind words. They are especially meaningful coming from someone who has as beautiful a blog as you do.

Linda, beautiful farm photo, and I love your new banner photo. An artist-farmer sounds like an interesting mix. Happy New Year!

LINDA FROM EACH LITTLE WORLD

That farm is near the home of some friends who are potters and live in the country outside Madison. The new banner is actually a shot of part of my garden after a snowfall last week. My husband took the picture so I will pass on your compliment.

For reasons that I don't know, Wisconsin has a long history of rural outsider artists. The John Michael Kohler Art Center has quite a collection of art in that field and a long history of preservation since many of them turn their homes and properties into art as well.
