Lovely images, as always. It looks like a lush, flowery, and damp spring in your garden. Send some rain down Texas way, please!

Fantastic photos, I particularly love the bleeding heart shot. Happy GBBD!

Most recklessly, but none-the-less a beautiful palette.

What beautiful photos. I must get a bleeding heart! I I love the quote too. Happy GBBD to us all!

Bleeding heart is my favorite too! Gorgeous pictures!

I have to agree with Robin - I never seen bleeding heart look so....bloody! But every photo is wonderful.

Pam: 3 inches last week, 1.1 this week so far and more predicted today. I want my inch of rain per week but I'd be happy to send some your way. It's been really too wet to get much work done. But it sure makes everything look good!

Les: reckless? You haven't even seen the orange tulips! I put them where they can't be seen from inside the house.

As for Erin, Commonweeder, Robin and Jen: I don't think you can take a bad picture of bleeding heart. It is such a visually unique plant. I tried to make wallpaper patterns using it as a design motif when I was in school.

Goodness, you're "Bleeding Hearts" are lovely!

Those Bleeding hearts are stunning and I love the dewy iris in the last photo.

I knew you would have some gorgeous blooms to share with us this month and you did.

Was just poking around the site a little further and found out you're in Madison, a lovely town I spent four years in while going to UW, and have spent every year since wishing I were still there. Hi from a fellow Wisconsinite (stuck--in spring I say "stuck" in "summer" I call it "fortunate"-- on the shores of a lake much colder than Mendota)!

Beautiful images! Don't you just love this time of year? I love the photo of the narcissi with the fire hydrant; that one caught me by surprise:)

Wow! These are your best bloom shots. I especially love the composition of the bleeding hearts image. It looks like spring has finally made it to you too.

YOur photos are magnificent, and the tulips you are sporting are lovely and fresh and cheery.

Thanks for sharing your garden with me today.

Thanks for your comments. Mark is quite enjoying all the compliments about his photos. I have a little point-and-shoot camera that I keep practicing with, but I am a long way from his skill level and his great eye!

Erin — small world. I grew up on the south side of Lake Erie in Buffalo; home of "lake effect" snow. So I am glad to not be on a bigger lake than Mendota!

Thanks for the rain, Linda! We got an inch yesterday, and much cooler temps today. I'm imagining that I'm in Wisconsin. ;-)

Beautiful light and poetry in you images! Lovely!
