I said: I like all of your 'stuff'. This conversation has given me thought about the 'stuff' in my garden. Why is it here? Do I still need it in the garden? I move my stuff around too. The garden is not stagnant. Ideas and plantings ebb and flow through out the garden as well as the 'stuff'.

Pam/Digging (Austin)

When I moved and brought all my garden "art" in boxes to the new place, I had time to evaluate each piece anew, considering whether it added anything to the garden, and also whether it fit with the feeling of the new garden. Much of it is still boxed up in the garage, so there's the answer.

Pam — that's exactly it. You add things over time and it takes something like a move or a project where everything is temporarily put away to give you a reason and a time frame for evaluation. Garden tours and the blog are helping us re-evaluate.

Gail

It's posts like your Linda that point out to me that I can get stuck in a rut in the garden... Plants do need to be moved and so does the art! Thanks, gail
