It's still dark outside, but the coffee is on, the tree is lit and I'm about to finish up the last little bits of holiday cooking before the Golbach family — age seven to ninety — arrive this afternoon. My Christmas Eve will officially begin at 9 a.m. (CST) when I turn on the radio for the live broadcast of "A Festival of NIne Lessons and Carols" from KIng's College, Cambridge in Great Britain. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying this beautiful carol based on the poem by Christina Rossetti.
Happy holidays to all of you!
Thank you, Linda, for sharing this beautifully sung hymn! I send my very best Christmas and New Year wishes to you and Mark. Enjoy your family!

In the Bleak Midwinter is probably my favourite Christmas carol! And this is a lovely rendition.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Here in South Africa thanks to FMR in Cape Town I listened to the King's College Festival of 9 lessons and carols. One very broad Scots accent in there this year ;>)

My father's favorite carol. Always makes me cry especially with boy sopranos. King's College Choir has a shorter very dynamic recorder version.
Merry Christmas.
