I agree; the Andrew Davies' version is the better one. The actress playing the mother is interesting. What a pity that Austen never gave much positive action to her women of a certain age. Of course, she only lived to her late thirties.

The zombie book was actually a lot of fun. Elizabeth Bennett makes quite a convincing zombie slayer. It's a good book for the plane.

There is so much truth in Austen's writings. Human nature revealed on its most basic level. That's why I love her.

Great music in the 2008 adaptation too--and one of the best actresses playing Elinor.
