Most of the brief time we spent in Milwaukee last weekend was all at the Pfister Hotel, the site of the wedding reception for our niece and her new husband. Mark and I had time to take a stroll through the neighborhood before we had to get dressed and head to the church (in a 1939 Packard limo). Here are a few of the images that caught our fancy.
This is the crosswalk at Cathedral Square where there was a jazz festival. Don't know if it was created for that event or always looks so cool.
Banks of bright angel wing Begonias outside the hotel's cafe.
Two views of the greenery inside the Cathedral's courtyard garden which we somehow missed last time we were in the neighborhood.
And a sight that niether of us had ever seen before: The sunscreen wings of the brise soleil at the Milwaukee Art Museum were shrouded in fog making it look more like the Flying Dutchman than the butterfly it's often likened to in appearance.
