Two days of rain and wind have pretty much put paid to the remaining flowers in the garden. There are still some Toad Lilies (Tricyrtis) in bloom and bud and a number of Heuchera contiue to send up flower stalks.
This is Heuchera 'Blondie," a new addition to the garden this summer. Its flowers are quite a creamy yellow and grow in fat clusters on short stems. Blondie has flowered almost continuously all season. The leaves start out reddish, fade to green and now have turned a mahogany red again. The only question I have about this little charmer is "Will she make it through the winter?"

I do like that little Blondie. I will have to look for it here next year.

I just planted a 'Blondie' this fall; I certainly hope both of ours make it through the winter. I'm going to put some extra mulch on a lot of my new plants this fall; sounds like we're going to have another bad winter:(

Blondi looks good. Happy GBBD. My garden looks rusty. I must do a post. I hate to miss anything.

She is quite charming. I can't believe it's still blooming! Please let us know the answer to that question next spring.

I say that about every heuchera that blooms here. So many can't handle the heaving and ho-ing that go on day after day in winter. Your 'Blondie' is cute. I hope she makes it for you. Happy Bloom Day!~~Dee
