I enjoy reading the tidbits you glean from history. I need to plant more bulbs that is all there is to it.

Beautiful selections. I planted several bulbs this year for the first time in a while. I tried to get some early-blooming daffs in the spots we look at most through the windows so I'll be able to enjoy them early in the season. I also planted a lot of muscari. Growing up I used to pick those from my mom's garden all the time so it must have been nostalgia that drove me to them. And of course, lots of alliums because I'm sort of obsessed with them.

LINDA from EACH LITTLE WORLD

Erin — I am waiting til I see what comes up in the area that I redid as I am afraid I may have planted some shrubs on top of bulbs! I want to get more fritillaries and alliums as well. Next year I am going to order things early early early — esp. as I have discovered some even more specialized sites for ordering.

FYI, non-profit public gardens pay the same price at B&B as you do, even if they are just an hour's drive away.
