Unlike most Decembers in Wisconsin, there is no snow on the ground. Nor any snow in the forecast for this week. After last winter's endless storms, I can't say I miss it. Especially not when the garden looks this lovely without it.
The Moon Garden is located just in front of the house.
The Upper Pool is at the top of the waterfall that feeds the pond in the back garden.
The Pond proper, looking west from the bog end.
The Sacred Grove looking toward the Tea House with the Upper Pool in the background.
The Nobedan Path just off the deck looking south toward the fence and gate on the property line. We assume the limestone blocks must be colder or wetter to hold the snow while it's melted off the other stones.
The frost is an interesting accent on your stones and bricks etc. The ice on the ponds make pretty pictures too. Happy Solstice to you too.
