What a show. I love the close ups of these peonies. I don't have one of these plants. Wait, I do have a tree peony. Does that count. Not the same thing to me.

Lisa — tree peonies are different. These die down but come up much earlier than traditional peonies and usually have single flowers.

Rock Rose

It's interesting to see you peonies and their single petal form. I only remember the ones in our garden in England which had multiple petals which made them very blowsy and heavy. Just thinking about them takes me back there.

Jenny — ​Those blowsy peonies are also the ones I grew up with but these woodland peonies are nice because they can take some shade. And the trees and shrubs will be providing more of that as they grow up.
