I don't think I planned it intentionally but I seem to have a lot of white flowers in the garden as it transitions from May to June. It's nothing like Vita Sackville-West's famous white garden at Sissinghurst, and yet there are little hidden gardens here and there mainly composed of whites — and green, of course.
Malus sargentii 'Tina'
Rhododendron yedoense poukhanense 'Alba'
Convallaria majalis 'Hardwick Hall' with large leaves edged in gold
Trillium grandiflorum a week ago.
You can just glimpse the Trillium still going strong behind this clump of Dodecatheon media.
The daffs bow out: Narcissus 'Dreamlight'
Gallium odoratum (rear) with Polygonatum humile.
Primula sieboldii with red candelabra Primroses and a Digitalis pushing forward.
Tiarella cordifolia 'Running Tapestry' edging Toad lilies, Cimicifuga, Hosta and a fern.
A great year for Clematis 'Guernsey Cream'
Our neighbor's Kiwi vine has colonized the fence between our gardens.
The Silverbell tree (Halesia tetraptera) has charming blooms which make a spring snowstorm when they fall, a sure sign that June is almost here.
White is fabulous for the evening and early morning hours. Sometimes our unintended plantings are best.

Beautiful! A friend gave me a baby Guernsey Cream, and I hope it blooms next year. We can't get primulas to come back here, so I love seeing yours.

White is such a refreshing and lovely color in the garden and you've got some gorgeous examples.

Gorgeous whites in a woodland setting. So spring-like. I love that pillar with clematis too.

I do love white in the garden. I never used to. I'm not sure what changed but I do like it. I hope my Guernsey Cream does well this year as well. Gosh I can't believe yours is blooming already. I feel like mine had quite a way to go.

Just gorgeous! My T. grandiflorums were white yesterday, but pink and fading today. This warm weather is nice, but blooms aren't lasting as long. I like all your white beauties.
