A week of very cool temperatures and lots of rain pushed the garden into overdrive once the sun and 60 degree daytime temps finally made an appearance these last couple of days. Primula veris glowing below.
Late yesterday afternoon I walked through the Sacred Grove which is were most of my bright and dramatic flowering plants are located. I took a few shots to remind myself what is here before the spring ephemerals disappear. These photos were all taken with me standing in almost the same spot and just turning from west to east a bit.
Use the location of the lantern above and below as the pivot point as I move. (Next time I should do this as a video!)
The boxwood at the lower right hand corner above is now at the left side of the two images below.
Our pond is located below that wall of yews. The bright spot in the lower right is the sun hitting the rocks at the east end of the pond. After I have another cup of coffee this morning, I will head out into the garden where I intend to play all day!
Your garden is alive and well. The path is so inviting. The bleeding heart is like a beacon.

We can see that bleeding heart from inside the living room which was rather a shock!

This is a test of the national comment system. It is only a test. Were this to require a real comment you would be directed to....

I had my husband test the comment setup as a reader was having problems, in case you were curious about this quirky message!

Wow! Spring has exploded. Your Symphytum × uplandicum 'Axminster Gold' looks lovely.

Year 3 for that Comfrey and I think it has settled in nicely.

That is so nice. I thought the bleeding heart was too much when it first came out but this spring I've admired it in a few spots. My resistance may crumble...
I'm always surprised by the diversity and changing views which your garden has. It's really a garden you can walk through and enjoy from many angles!
