It was a mere 16 degrees F. when I got up to make coffee this morning around 6:30 a.m. As the sun was slowly rising I noticed that the frost on the roofs of the houses across the street was so heavy it almost looked like snow. When I looked out the windows in the other direction, I realized that it actually was snow. Not much, but enough to remind us of what's coming one of these days.
The pond has frozen again with the change in the weather. The ground is not as cold nor has it frozen yet, which is why the pond is pretty much the only area of the garden with snow on it. The wooden post in the center of the view below is the support for my Clematis 'Guernsey Cream'. You can just see the Buddha on the deck in this image through the weeping white pine.
A good day to stay indoors and decorate the Christmas tree.
It is cold here too. We had snow flurries. Of course nothing stuck. It has been much to warm for any accumulation. Have fun decorating your tree.

Huh, you had snow but we didn't here in McFarland. I guess that happens sometimes. It's certainly been cold enough for it, though. Apparently, even Austin and San Antonio had snow today! Crazy!
