It sounds like it has a lot of personality! I like adventurous plants that like to try new things. A lot of mine are stick in the mud types.

I used to have a similar toad lily like this one. One of my favorites. Our seemingly yearly drought conditions seems to have whittled out all but one that is tough enough to withstand the crazy weather.
I love that meadow rue. Gosh so tall. I have never seen one in person that tall. WOW Those blooms look like it should be in a fairy land.
