This pile of concrete, left over from our deck replacement, will be used next year in a project. It's visible, along with another equally large pile, from the room where we spend most of our time. They make it impossible for me to forget or ignore the real world and concentrate on the dreamy garden views elsewhere.
I think of them as my personal Trump twitter feed, hounding me every time I glance out the window. I will be happy when they are covered with snow and he's out of the White House.
Amen

Well that's a great use for snow!

What a comparison, Linda! At least the concrete served a useful purpose for a time.

When we were in Utqiagvik, AK (formally known as Barrow) the lady at the restaurant where we ate told us we "should come back during winter when the snow covers all the trash and junk, it is really beautiful here then."
I have had one of those piles of concrete before. Staring at it all winter did make my eyes sore. It also made me itchy to do something with it.
