Nice. I'm glad you named the plants. I'm looking for more fall color to add to my garden. Bowman's root is new to me.

I'd have come to a halt too! That's some glow you had going. I don't think I've ever grown a Berberis of any kind even though my Sunset Garden Book assures me that many species will grow here. Either they're seldom found in local garden centers or I'm just not looking in the right paces. I do tend to veer away from deciduous plants but having bare sticks for a few months would be worth a seasonal color splash like that.
