Woke to a gently falling rain this morning that made it a pleasure to have Saturday coffee at home. We usually meet our friends at our local coffee shop, but all the news about the COVID variants made us wary of coffee indoors, anywhere but here.
We got .41" of rain and are hoping for a bit more this afternoon.
I don't know of any sound better to wake up to than that one. We got a spot of Mother Nature's spit this morning with the return of our marine layer, but it wasn't enough to register as actual rain.

The rain always beats having to water... unless you're camping and three hours of tropical downpour won't let you sleep! We were home 45 minutes later ;) and fortunately the next day returned to enjoy the sun again.

Yes, the rain has been nice, hasn't it? I was glad the rains came through this morning, too, in advance of the high heat. More rain tomorrow morning?
