I love the spotted green pumpkin/squash. I took a look a look at the pumpkins piled in the supermarket this morning and decided it was too early for me to celebrate fall when summer still has a tight hold here.
BTW it was fun to hear your name when I finally got a chance to watch the recording of Richie Steffen's recent talk for the Hardy Fern Foundation! (regarding adiantum growing in your zone)

DANGER — I have had such good luck with that fern that I could not resist setting Richie straight on its success in Zone 5.
