Red candelabra Primroses shout across the garden to the blooms of Calycanthus raulstonii 'Hartlage Wine' which are even more intensely colored.
C. 'Hartlage Wine' was bred for large flowers. Alas, it lost its fragrance to achieve those big blooms.
